Fuaim na gCuinneagáin is the highly anticipated debut show from the Cunningham family, having been endorsed by some of Irelands best traditional musicians and singers including: Dessie O’Halloran, Orla Keane, Don Stiff, John Kenny, Gerry Glennon, Matt Keane, Jimmy Higgins, Tom Doherty  to name but a few of this strong cast, it also has  moving  performances from the well known Sean nós singers Johnny Mhairtín Learraí McDhonncha, Meaití Joe Shéamuis O' Fatharta & Nan Tom Taimín. In 2009 The Cunninghams will bring the show around Ireland and beyond, with an ever changing cast telling the beautiful story of Sean nos through an energetic fun packed show of young musicians, dancers and singers, teaming up with some older, well-known traditional artists, blending and contrasting old with new. It is hoped this show will encourage revival and respect of these important cultural traditions.

Fuaim na gCuinneagáin (The Cunningham Sound) is aimed at displaying the Sean Nós tradition and the evolution of it up to modern step dancing. It consists of six musicians, six dancers and three singers. The artists involved all come from a background steeped in musical tradition. The Sean Nós dancing contrasts against the more modern step dancing. The Sean Nós songs contrast against the English songs and Ballads and the regional styles in the music are blended together. It is hoped this show will encourage the revival and respect of these important cultural traditions.
